OUR NAME IS OUR MISSION
This Is What Metamorphosis Means
Metamorphosis means transformation. For us, that starts with a green coffee bean, one we source with care and roast to unlock the flavours hidden inside.
But that's only half of why we chose this name.
The other half is about people. That's why we give back a portion of every bag you buy to our non-profit partners, helping empower individuals and communities in need. Because for us, every cup is two transformations happening at once: a bean becoming coffee, and a life being changed. That's what we do. That's who we are.
We roast for excellence and give for impact. Choose Metamorphosis, and your everyday cup becomes someone else's turning point.
Our Story
For years, Thomas was frustrated. Every cup of coffee he encountered seemed to taste the same: bitter, dark, and utterly devoid of the nuanced flavours he knew coffee could possess. He watched as others simply accepted this mediocrity, masking the harshness with sugar and cream. This wasn't just a preference; for someone who’d transformed his own health by understanding what went into his body, it was a fundamental compromise. He tried other brands, even dabbling in home roasting, but the depth he craved remained elusive.
The true "aha!" moment arrived with his wife Jess. They tried a bag of specialty coffee, and with the very first sip, a revelation. A wave of caramel sweetness, utterly natural, washed over them. It wasn't just coffee; it was an experience. This shared moment ignited a spark: a vision to create a coffee business that honoured the Creator's natural flavours, roasting each bean light-medium to preserve its integrity.
Thomas, with a decade of self-taught roasting experience, and Jess, with her barista insights, knew they could bring this vision to life. This obsession gave birth to Metamorphosis Coffee Experience. It wasn't just about exceptional coffee; it was about transformation, both in the cup and in the world. They committed to giving back, believing that true community change happens when individuals are empowered.
Since launching in October 2025, they have donated close to $4,000 to non-profit charities, with over 2,000 drip coffee bags sold, proving that an extraordinary cup can also fuel meaningful impact.

Co-Founder & Chief Coffee Roaster
Meet Thomas
What started as a hobby ten years ago, Thomas got into roasting coffee as a way to deepen his passion for good coffee. He loves hearing the first crack of the coffee beans (they sound like popcorn popping), the smell of coffee beans roasting (they smell like bubble waffle), and the satisfaction of brewing his own roasted coffee beans (it tastes extra sweet).
As a licensed Q-Grader, Thomas promises to deliver only the best speciality coffee beans by roasting them in a way that reflect God's intricate creation.
